A little more about us

We have combined our knowledge, equipment and experience to form a diverse and professional event production team. figureight is much, much more than an AV hire company.

Members of our crew have such varied backgrounds as: Ecologically Sustainable Design, Renewable Energy Systems, Photovoltaic Engineering, Audio Engineering, Radio & Television Broadcast, Music Festival Management, Television Technical Operation, Lighting/Audio/Visual Design & Operation, Visual Effects and Post Production for Films, Exhibitions, Trade Shows & Corporate Events, Musical Performance, Visual Art & Reclaimed Decor, Alternative Therapies and Organic Catering.

We enhance creativity by supporting grass roots artists and giving them  performance opportunities, which  they often would not otherwise have. We provide equipment and technical support during many arts festivals, gallery shows and other projects. We have had core involvement in events such as Underbelly Arts Festival, Newtown Festival's Vocal Local Village and Peats Ridge Festival's Jollywood Stage. We also constantly challenge all our members to come up with new and creative ideas, producing innovative solutions and unique approaches to many aspects of our organisation.

We support community through focusing on community events, providing relevant and accessible services to individuals, community groups and councils. We work where our passions lie – on the ground level where the people, experiences and impacts are real. Strong communities can do incredible things!

Sustainability shapes everything we do. Biodiesel vehicles, reclaimed materials, renewable energy, energy efficient practices, e-brochures (not junk mail), open source technology, non-profit organisation, re-use of equipment, re-use everything! - We are passionate about creating widespread change in our lifetimes.
