Underbelly Public Arts Lab + Festival 2007 - CarriageWorks, Sydney
figureight was brought on board for the mammoth task of technical management for 100+ artists who were involved with Underbelly. Being the first year, there were many unknowns. Plans changed, projects were added at the last minute, tech sheets would be thrown out and re-written on the fly. We needed to have the flexibility to evolve with the beast and we came through.
Newtown Festival - Vocal Local Village 2007
The Newtown Neighbourhood Centre approached figureight to co-produce a local community arts area in an effort to showcase the vibrant creative groups which are active in the area. Being locals, we used our direct links with artists and also co-programmed the stage. This collaborative process saw us working at our full potential.
Splendour in the Grass Festival
For Splendour we created the Ecodome. A sumptuous chill area for the festival inside our geodesic dome. Chill Djs maintained a relaxed atmosphere and at night our Vjs came out to play with an immersive visual display. All of this was powered from our solar powerpak.
Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival 2006
We have been involved in the creation and production of two stages at the leading sustainable festival in Australia.
City of Shadows and Ice - Shopfront Theatre
A unique large-scale outdoor physical theatre performance working with young people from the region. Presented free to the community at Kogarah Square
